Harel Skaat singt für Israel

Beim diesjährigen Eurovision Song Contest, kurz ESC genannt, hat sich nun auch Israel für einen Teilnehmer entschieden. Der derzeit größte Star der lokalen Musikszene Israels begann seine Karriere 2004, indem er als Teilnehmer bei der Casting-Show Kochad nolad auftrat.

Den Sieg bei der Castingshow verpasste der 28Jährige Harel Skaat aus Israel nur knapp, er landete auf dem zweiten Platz, wobei hinterher von möglichen Manipulationen bei dem Televoting die Rede war, jetzt aber beim ESC möchte Harel Skaat als Sieger hervor gehen. Zumindest in seiner Heimat wird er als Star gehandelt, seine 2006 veröffentlichte Platte erreichte fast aus dem Stand Platinstatus.
